For those who don’t know me, I don’t pre-order games.
I just don’t do it, I never have, I can give you a whole explanation for it but that’s a rant for another time.
You can’t go anywhere in the Internet without discovering that Fallout 4 finally got confirmed last week, and this week we get confirmation that the collectors edition is being called the “Pip Boy Edition” thus named because it comes with a wearable pip boy that you can use with your phone.
Excited? I am, but then the Pip Boy Edition is just a special edition, it’s not a pre-order bonus, so why did I hark on about pre-orders to start?
Well, seeing as Fallout is one of the few franchises I would actually give money for before it’s release, it’s worth noting that I just moved from England to mainland Europe and being your average Englishman, I only speak English.
Which makes it harder on me wanting to play a game, I have to make sure I don’t get a German language copy (or worse yet, a censored version of the game due to region-locking).
So I have spent the past couple of days obsessing over the internet trying to make sure I can find the Pip Boy Edition of Fallout 4, first stop is Amazon.
The Uk site doesn’t have the Pip Boy listed, but the US site does, and you’ll be royally mistaken if you think I know where to even start looking in Germany.
This morning I find out that Game.co.uk has the exclusive deal for the Pip Boy Edition in the Uk.
So whats a man going to do?
Had to pre-order through Game, which came with a whole host of needless extras, honestly I don’t care about the “Fallout Club”, I mean I get Fallout 4 info just off the internet, I don’t care about a community or events.
Though apparently I get a second Fallout Bobblehead, so I’ve got that going for me, which is nice.
Now I just have to hope my Computer can run it.
